A Confident Dylan Holloway May Be The Oilers X Factor In Round 2 Vs The Vancouver Canucks

Dylan Holloway's standout season: The X-factor in Oilers' playoff hopes

A confident Dylan Holloway may be the Oilers' X-factor in Round 2 vs. the Vancouver Canucks

A standout season for Dylan Holloway has the Oilers hopeful he can be the X-factor in their second-round playoff series against the Vancouver Canucks.

The 20-year-old forward had a breakout season with the Oilers' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors, this year, scoring 21 goals and adding 34 assists in 51 games. He also led the AHL in plus-minus with a +34 rating.

Holloway's strong play earned him a call-up to the Oilers for the final three games of the regular season, and he made his NHL debut on April 26 against the Calgary Flames. He played well in his brief stint with the Oilers, scoring one goal and adding two assists in three games.

The Oilers are hoping that Holloway can continue to produce at a high level in the playoffs. He is a skilled skater with a good shot, and he has shown that he can be a dangerous player in both the offensive and defensive zones. If he can continue to play with confidence, he could be a major factor in the Oilers' success in the playoffs.
